Calcification or Efflorescence

When water comes into contact with stone, concrete, or cinderblock, the water will leach out the minerals, leaving a deposit of salt behind that is commonly referred to as either Calcification, or Efflorescence.  These two terms are generally used interchangeably among waterproofers.   When you see this on your walls, or floor, it means that water ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY has been there at some point.  Now, it doesn't necessarily mean that it is a current problem, but it DOES mean that it was a problem at some point.  If you see this, then call us to set up an appointment to come out and  ascertain whether there are any signs that the problem has been addressed, and if not, what steps need to be taken to address it.
